John 14: 4-6
- Authority over all people
- These words spake Jesus, and lift up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. As thou hast given him power over all flesh , that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal , that they might know thee the only true God , and Jesus Christ , whom thou hast sent . I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father , glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was .
John 17: 1-5
- His Kingdom

Jesus answered, My Kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world : then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: But now is my Kingdom not from hence . Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a King then ? Jesus answered, thou sayest that I am a King . To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
John 18: 36,37
- Discussion with Nicodemus
- Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily,verily, I say unto thee ,Except a man be born again , he cannot see the Kingdom. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old ? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb,and be born ? Jesus answered, Verily,verily, I say unto thee ,Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh ; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth,and thou hearest the sound thereof,but canst not tell whence it cometh,and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him,How can these things be ? Jesus answered and said unto him,Art thou a master of Israel,and knowest not these things ? Verily,verily,I say unto thee,We speak that do we know,and testify that we have seen,and ye receive not our witness .I have told you earthly things ,and ye believe not,how shall he believe,if I tell you of heavenly things ?
