Bible Verses
- 2 Corinthians :
- Treasures in jars of clay
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:6-9, 16
- On what is unseen
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all . So we fixed our eyes not on what is seen , but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4: 17,18
- Judgment seat of Christ
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:10- The Time of God's Favor
5: 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ , he is a new creature: old things are past away ; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation ; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 21: For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 6: 1,2 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain. ( For he said, “ I have heard you in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured you: Behold, now is the day of salvation.”)
