Bible Verses
- Hebrews :
- The source of eternal salvation
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Called of God a high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
Heb 5: 7-10
- Man is destined to die once
And as it appointed unto men once to die , but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time, without sin , unto salvation.
Heb 9: 27, 28
- The role of Christ in Salvation
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord , and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him. God also bearing them witness , both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles , and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.
Heb 2: 1 - 4
- The word of God
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit , and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Heb 4: 12,13
- By faith
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God , so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is , and that he is a rewarder of them that who diligently seek him.
